
Martin Caravati, M.D., MPH, FACMT, FACEP
Martin Caravati, MD, MPH, is the Medical Director of the Utah Poison Control Center and the toxicology consult service at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center. He is Professor of Surgery (Emergency Medicine) and Adjunct Professor of Pharmacotherapy at the University of Utah.
Dr. Caravati received a bachelor's degree in chemistry at the University of Virginia and a medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. His residency training in emergency medicine was completed at Carolinas Medical Center. He obtained a master's degree in Public Health at the University of Utah. He is board certified in both Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology.
He has served on Board of Directors for the American Association of Poison Control Centers and the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology. He currently serves as an Associate Editor of the Annals of Emergency Medicine.
His research interests include acute poisonings, poisoning epidemiology, and public health. |
